The Rev. Darryl W. Kozak, Pastor
Pastor Kozak received his BA in Theology from Concordia University,
Irvine, California and his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from the
Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP). During his
seminary training, he served at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Schwenksville, PA, and the University Lutheran Church of the
Incarnation, Philadelphia, PA. His internship was at Saint Peter's
Church, Manhattan. While at LTSP he served as the Student Body
President (2003-2004) and as co-President (2005-2006) of his class.
Pastor Kozak was ordained in his home parish, Red Hill Lutheran
Church, Tustin, California, on July 23, 2006 and began his call as the
Pastor of Redeemer-Saint John's on August 1, 2006. He is presently
working on a Master of Sacred Theology (STM) degree in Liturgy and
Homiletics (Worship and Preaching) at LTSP.
Pastor Kozak is passionate about social justice concerns and issues
for the less fortunate. Having worked for a year at the Lutheran Office
for World Community, which represents the ELCA and the Lutheran
World Federation at the United Nations in New York, Pastor Kozak
brings a unique global perspective to the parish An avid reader, you
may find him spending time reading the classics or contemporary
fiction, especially mysteries. Although having grown up in Southern
California, he has embraced the North East, and New York in
particular, as home.

Kirsten d'Aquino, Cantor
Kirsten serves the Redeemer-Saint John's community as the Cantor,
she is the musical director, overseeing the music of the
congregation's liturgical life. She attended and graduated from the
prestigious Julliard School in Manhattan. Her husband, Pedro, also
serves as the Cantor for another Lutheran parish, Saint Luke's
Lutheran Church in the Times Square area of Manhattan.

Geraldine Quigley, Administrative Assistant

first person with whom you'll speak. Geri joined the RSJ staff in Fall
of 2006 and has been a great asset to the ministry and mission of
